The Alachua County Commission will hold its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and will recess after the daytime agenda items are complete. The meeting will reconvene at 5:01 p.m. The meeting is in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).
At 4 p.m., the County Commission will conduct a closed-to-the-public attorney-client strategy session concerning the litigation in the case styled Juan Gil v. Alachua County. The subject matter of this meeting will be confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation expenditures. The procedures for holding closed attorney-client litigation strategy sessions involving boards subject to Florida Sunshine Law are governed by Sec. 286.011(8), Fla. Stat.
