9-10-19 Commission Regular Meeting

​ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission will conduct their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209) on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville). The Regular Meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. and will recess after the morning agenda items are completed. The meeting will reconvene at 5:01 p.m. for the evening agenda.

Daytime items of interest include:

• Request to Relocate the Historical Lion from the County Administration Building to the Criminal Courthouse
• Camp McConnell - Purchase sale agreement
• Report findings from Camp Florida application to acquire Camp McConnell property
• Change use and impose restrictions on County Road 2082 to prohibit
motorized vehicular traffic between S.E. Hawthorne Road (State Road 20)
and S.E. County Road 234r
• Comprehensive Plan Discussion on Broadband Service
• Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP) Policy Discussion
• Repeal of Ordinance Prohibiting the Use of Expanded Polystyrene
Containers and Single-Use Carry Out Plastic Bags

• Adopt the FY20 Proposed Millage Rates and Tentative Budget
• Sugarfoot Oaks/Cedar Ridge Preservation and Enhancement District Final
• Stormwater Assessment FY20 Final Rate Resolution Adoption Hearing
• Solid Waste Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Final Rate Resolution
• Fire Services Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Final Rate Resolution
• A request for a Large Scale Comprehensive Plan Text
Amendment to revise certain policies associated with the Springhills Activity
Center
• Minor Amendment to the Oakmont Planned Development
• Revised Preliminary Development Plan for Celebration Pointe Transit
Oriented Development
• Charter Review Commission Appointments

There are four public comment opportunities during the Regular/Public Hearing Meetings which enable citizens to speak to items not on the agenda. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting.
