9-16-20 Planning Commission Meeting

Planning CommissionThe Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 6 p.m. This is a virtual meeting. The public may attend virtually through Cox Channel 12 and the County's Video on Demand website. For meeting audio only, call 301-715-8592, and when prompted, use code 670 965 3024.

The public may submit comments to the Planning Commission through email at planning@alachuacounty.us. Comments can also be made by calling into the public comment message line when prompted to call during the meeting.

Public comment will be taken by telephone for all non-ministerial items on which the Planning Commission votes. Once public comment is opened for an item under discussion, please call 929-205-6099 (enter meeting code 273 174 8038). Callers will be put in a queue, and prompted when it is their turn to speak. TO AVOID FEEDBACK, SPEAKERS MUST TURN DOWN THEIR MEETING SOUND WHEN ADDRESSING THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS.

Any individual who wishes to participate in the proceeding but is unable to attend the hearing through communication media technology (CMT), may request a reasonable accommodation to allow for participation in the public hearing. Items for the Planning Commission Meeting:

ZOM-04-20 (819 Reid St., LLC Rezoning) – This is a request by EDA Consultants, Inc., agent, for 819 Reid St., LLC, owner, to rezone from PD (Planned Development) district to R-2 (Multi-Family Residential/4-8 dwelling units per acre) district and R-2a (8-14 dwelling units per acre) district on approximately 13.6 acres on tax parcels 16146-000-000 (portion) and 16117-000-000 located at approximately 3009 S.E. ZOX-02-20 (Parsons Private Motorized Vehicle Practice Facility Special Exception) – This is a request by Gregory W. Parsons, owner, for a special exception to allow a private motorized vehicle practice facility. The parcel number is 04094-002-000.
