9-28-21 Commission Regular Meeting to Discuss COVID-19 and the FY22 Millage Rates and Final Budget

The Alachua County Commission will conduct a hybrid Regular Meeting on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). The daytime portion of the meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. The evening portion begins at 5 p.m. The daytime meeting includes a COVID-19 discussion. The evening meeting includes a Public Hearing to adopt the FY22 Final Millage Rates and Final Budget.

The Commission will take public comment in person or by calling 1-800-741-8011. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. The public may view the meeting on Cox Channel 12, Facebook, and the County’s Video on Demand website.

  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring October 3 through October 9, 2021, as “National 4-H Week” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Appointment of one member to the Alachua County Historical Commission
  • Appointment of two positions to the Alachua County Local Planning Agency/Planning Commission

  • Children’s Trust presentation
  • Joint Alachua County/City of Gainesville Zero Waste Strategy Report and Implementation Plan presentation
  • U.S. Treasury Dept. Emergency Rental Assistance Program updates and Neighborly Software Agreement
  • Residential Rental Unit Permit and Inspection Program
  • Public Hearing on Unified Land Development Code amendments relating to the County Growth Management Area Charter Provisions
  • Celebration Pointe TOD Revised Preliminary Development Plan

  • Teen Violence and Perspectives discussion
  • Santa Fe River - Hitchcock and Sons Inc. and Hitchcocks Ranch LLC. Option contracts to purchase conservation easements
