Registration for Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center’s 2026 summer Day Camp is filling up fast, with more than 60% of spots already reserved and some weeks nearing capacity. Families are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to secure their child’s place.
“This is one of the premier and most affordable summer camp options in Alachua County,” said Camp Manager Jamie Bass. “If families are considering enrolling, now is the time to act.”
Cuscowilla’s camps will run for seven weeks from June 8 through July 24, offering a mix of outdoor adventure, hands-on learning and classic summer fun for children entering grades 2 through 5. Specialty camps are also available for middle school students.
Campers will enjoy a wide range of activities, including swimming, archery, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and more. Each week also features off-site field trips to local parks, museums and other destinations throughout the county.
The program includes:
- Daily bus transportation to and from Lincoln Middle School (1001 SE 12th St., Gainesville) and Squirrel Ridge Park (1603 SW Williston Road, Gainesville).
- Breakfast, lunch and snacks provided
- Weekly field trips
- Full-day programming from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
The weekly rate is $175 for Day Camp and $225 for specialty camps. Parents can reserve a spot with a $25 deposit per week.
