The year 2025 is a historic milestone for Alachua County, as it marks the 200th anniversary of its founding.
To celebrate the importance, the county is hosting “Discover 200 – A Bicentennial Celebration” at 1 p.m. at Depot Park and Heartwood Soundstage. This free, daylong celebration will feature nationally recognized and local musicians, food trucks, and family-friendly activities for all ages. Various county departments and local organizations will also be on site to share information about what local services and jobs are available to residents.
