The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Family Consumer Science and 4-H Program for February 2026. Family & Consumer Science Agent Ebony Griffin and 4-H Youth Development Agent Mary Lee Sale are offering this program.
Family Date Night: Under the Tuscan Sun – Feb. 14, 2026, from 2-6 p.m., at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. Newberry Road, Newberry).
No babysitter is required for this date night. Parents will participate in a couple’s cooking class, while the kids join 4-H for a DIY pizza night.
Couples can enjoy a cooking class where they will prepare an appetizer, entree, and dessert, followed by a private table to enjoy their three-course meal. A coffee bar will be available during dessert, with a complimentary bouquet, chocolates and a Valentine’s Day gift.
All couples will receive recipe cards and take-home portions in boxes.
Youth participants will join 4-H for a DIY pizza workshop, with movies, games, and snacks. Screened and trained 4-H professionals will provide childcare for the duration of the program, allowing parents to connect. Youth ages 5-12 are welcome to attend.
Registration costs $200 per family (two adults and their children, ages 5-12). Participants must register online by Feb. 8. The registration fee includes all training materials, food and children’s activities. Registration is limited to six families. Please note that there are no walk-ins.
No refunds will be issued within four days of the event. No animals are allowed, except those defined as service animals under the ADA.
