On October 25, 2025, Alachua County held the “Forward Focus Year 1 Summit.” This summit marked a key milestone in the Forward Focus: Eastern Alachua County initiative and was an essential and critical opportunity for residents, businesses, and local leaders to help shape the region's future. The event featured collaborative discussions and workshops designed to generate ideas and identify community-driven solutions.

During the event, county staff presented Forward Focus Year 1 highlights, shared progress made since the project’s launch and outlined next steps in the initiative’s development. Participants were given the opportunity to engage directly with county representatives and provide feedback that will help shape a comprehensive strategic plan for the coming years.
