June Environmental Horticulture Program

​The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture program for June 2025. Environmental Horticulture agent Cynthia Nazario-Leary and Master Gardener volunteers are offering this program.

Raising Gardens in Rising Temperatures – June 10, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. Newberry Road, Newberry).

Over the last decade, Alachua County’s Plant Hardiness Zone has shifted from 8A to 8B and 9A. This session will explore effective strategies for adapting our gardening plans and selections to accommodate the increasing temperatures and extreme weather events.

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. It is limited to 100 participants.
