Tropical Storm Elsa Update 24 Santa Fe Hills Entrance Open and Sandbags Available

N.W. 25th Place (Hills of Santa Fe entrance) west of N.W. 98th Street is now open.

Residents wishing to pick up sandbags can do so at the wayside park (Desoto Park) at 11855 N.W. US 441, Gainesville (pull into the convenience store parking lot).  Bags and sand are available (please limit yourself to 10 bags). Please bring a shovel to fill the bags and be prepared to lift the bags into your vehicle. These bags can be used to protect from the rising water bodies or to prepare in advance for the next storm. Stores such as Home Depot and Lowes also sell sandbags.
