6-18-25 Development Review Committee and Planning Commission Meetings

​​​​The Alachua County Development Review Committee and the Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. The Development Review Committee meeting is at 1:30 p.m., and the Planning Commission Meeting is at 6 p.m. Both meetings are in the Jack Durrance Auditorium on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville).

The meetings will take public comments in person only. They will be available on Cox Channel 12, the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), or the county’s video-on-demand website.

Items for the Development Review Committee meeting:

Ariet Dock – This is a Flood Plain Development Permit for Ariet Dock to construct an 888 sf dock and boat slip on approximately 9.41 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 18535-000-000 at 9817 NE County Rd 1469.

Willow Oak Plantation Lot 215 – This is a request for Variance and Replat for Willow Oak Plantation Lot 215 to reduce the north setback from 5 feet to 3.5 feet for an existing building encroachment on approximately 0.15 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 07098-001-215 at 7655 SW 88th Dr.

Steeplechase Town Center – This is a Preliminary Development Plan for Steeplechase Town Center to construct a +/- 24,000 sq. ft. retail shopping center on acres located within the Jonesville Activity Center Planning Zone on 3.19 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 04344-001-000 at 14217 W Newberry Road.

Item for the Planning Commission

Z25-000011- Windsor Personal Wireless Services Facility (PWSF) Special Use Permit – This is a request by Joel Rosseau of NexTower Development Group II, LLC and Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak PLLC, agents, T-Mobile South, LLC, applicant and James Ira Wilkinson, owner, for a Special Use Permit to allow a 199ft. Tier 3 Personal Wireless Services Facility (PWSF). The site is located in the Agriculture zoning district and has a future land use designation of Rural Cluster.
