This edition of Alachua County's "Take 5" highlights the Alachua County Sheriff's Office and Alachua County Animal Services "Paws on Parole" program. The 8 week program allows inmates at the Alachua County Jail to train adoptable dogs from the County Animal Shelter. So far Paws on Parole has a 100% adoption rate for canine graduates, and 80% of the trainers do not return to jail after going through the program.
