(Evenings via Zoom)

The Alachua County Crisis Center invites you to participate in our annual free virtual symposium, dedicated to suicide prevention and mental wellness. Our theme this year, Crisis to Connection: Navigating the Continuum of Care, reflects our commitment to making mental health education accessible and supportive for all.

Why Attend?

Many community members, especially those outside the mental health field, encounter misinformation or feel overwhelmed when trying to access care for themselves or others. This symposium is designed to clarify, educate, and empower.

Sessions will focus on:

  • Supporting individuals in crisis
  • General mental health topics and resources
  • Promoting wellness and resilience

Importantly, the symposium will also address the continuum of care in Alachua County, Florida, helping attendees understand how local services connect across various stages of need.

This event is valuable for everyone - including community members, parents, educators, and those working in or entering the mental health field.

Mental health professionals and paraprofessionals will present on a wide range of topics, offering practical insight, clinical expertise, and tools for navigating the mental health system - from prevention to crisis response to long-term support.
