The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m. The public may offer comments virtually and in person. If attending in person, masks are strongly recommended for those not vaccinated.
For the public who attend virtually, once the public comment is opened for an item under discussion, please call 929-505-6099 (enter meeting code 478 494 9835). Callers will be put in a queue, and prompted when it is their turn to speak. TO AVOID FEEDBACK, SPEAKERS MUST TURN DOWN THE VOLUME ON THEIR DEVICES WHEN ADDRESSING THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE. Callers should state their names and limit comments to two minutes. When prompted for in-person comments, in-person participants should follow the direction of the Chair to participate.

ZOM-01-22 (Rezoning from R-1a District to Agriculture District) – This is a request by Leon Freeman, owner and agent, to rezone from ‘R-1a’ (Single Family Residential) district to ‘A’ (Agriculture) district with a Rural/Agriculture (1 dwelling unit per 5 acres) land use. The parcel is approximately 0.24 acres on parcel number 20077-004-000 located at 15322 S.E. US Highway 301. The rezoning, if approved, would permit a mobile home to be placed on the parcel.
