2019 Saving My Alachua Calendars Available

The Alachua County Environment Protection Department announces that copies of the 2019 “Saving My Alachua” calendars are now available for distribution. The 2019 Saving My Alachua Calendar features winning artwork from the 2018 Saving My Alachua Environmental Art Contest (open to all K-12 students in Alachua County) along with tips on protecting the environment.

This year’s theme is “Get Out and Explore.” The calendar offers a guide to hikes and preserves in Alachua County, as well as monthly suggestions of places to visit.

“In addition to showcasing inspiring artwork by our K-12 students, these calendars provide excellent tips on how citizens can become better environmental stewards as well as amazing local places to enjoy the great outdoors,” said Alachua County Environmental Protection Department Director Chris Bird.

Hard copies of the calendar are available for pick up at the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department (408 W. University Ave, Suite 106, Gainesville), while supplies last. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Electronic copies of the calendar are available online.
