The Alachua County Commission will conduct a Special Meeting on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m., in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).
The meeting includes a presentation and discussion on the use of linkage fees as a potential funding source for affordable housing initiatives, based on previous Board direction. This discussion is one of a series of discussions with the County Commission as part of the periodic evaluation and update of the County’s Comprehensive Plan. At this meeting, the Commission will discuss and provide direction to staff in preparation for upcoming public hearings by the Alachua County Planning Commission and the County Commissioners on transmittal of proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan for State review in 2019.
