5-10-22 County Commission Regular Meeting

The Alachua County Commission will conduct its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). The daytime meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. The evening meeting begins at 5 p.m.

Masks are strongly encouraged when social distancing is not possible. The public may view the meeting on Cox Channel 12 and the County’s Video on Demand website.

Public comment will be taken for each agenda item and the public will also have an opportunity to speak about items not on the agenda at noon and 5:30 p.m. Members of the public who wish to speak are asked to limit their comments to three minutes.

  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring May 2022 as “International Internal Audit Awareness Month” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring May 15, 2022, as “Peace Officers Memorial Day” and May 15 through 21, 2022, as “National Police Week” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring May 1 through May 7, 2022, as “National Travel and Tourism Week” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring May 12 through May 15, 2022 as “Emergency Services Week (EMS)” in Alachua County, Florida
  • 2021 Management Academy recognition
  • Human Rights Board appointment
  • Local Planning Agency/Planning Commission vacancy appointment – appoint one at-large member to the Local Planning Agency/Planning Commission to a term ending 7/31/2023.
  • Alachua County Veteran Services Advisory Board appointment
  • RTS bus stop improvements in unincorporated Alachua County
  • Dock Code revisions
  • An update on a central receiving system for Alachua County
  • Ordinance to amend Unified Land Development Code, regarding flags and flagpole height (Legislative)
