NWS predicts 10-15 inches of rain in Southeast Alachua County.

Alachua County is under a Local State of Emergency. It is now imperative that residents have their hurricane kits and plans in place. Residents should text ALACHUA to 888-777 to receive important storm text updates. For those who live in flood-prone areas, an evacuation plan is crucial.

The Alachua County school district, University of Florida, and Santa Fe College will be closed Wednesday through Friday due to the threat posed by Hurricane Ian.
