Alachua County Nature Preserves have Re-Opened for Public Use

All Alachua County nature preserves with public access have been re-opened as of Friday, September 1, 2023. At Turkey Creek Preserve, two specific trail sections remain closed due to storm impacts. Signs indicating the trail closure areas are posted at the Turkey Creek preserve trailheads, and closed areas are clearly flagged. Visitors should use caution and follow trail closure guidelines.

Due to heavy rainfall, many preserves have standing water on sections of the trail system.
