Animal Services Seeks Thanksgiving Foster Families

Thanksgiving dogsAlachua County Animal Services is seeking foster families for dogs during the Thanksgiving holiday. They need County residents not planning to travel that are willing to pick up a dog on Tuesday, November 26, or Wednesday, November 27, 2019, and foster until Saturday, November 30. Animal Services will provide all the needed supplies.

While the dog is fostered, Animal Services encourages fostering families to help find the dog a permanent home. This can be done by promoting the foster dog on social media, in neighborhoods, at work and with friends and family.

“No one should spend Thanksgiving alone, including our shelter animals,” said Alachua County Animal Services Shelter Supervisor Jane Grantman. “We would love nothing more than to give the gift of a loving home this Thanksgiving holiday to our four-legged friends.”

For more information, contact Jane Grantman at 352-264-6870 ext. 2563.
