Animal Services Valentine’s Day Adoption Event

Alachua County Animal Services is hosting a week-long Valentine’s Day Adoption event, from February 9, through February 13, 2021. Adoption fees are only $14 for cats and dogs. Adoptions are daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Animal Services Headquarters (3400 N.E. 53rd Avenue, Gainesville).

Alachua County Animal Services Supervisor Jane Grantman said, “We have over 100 cats and dogs looking for loving homes. Celebrate your Valentine’s Day by adopting a furry friend.”

Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies and license. All animals available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped prior to leaving Animal Services.
