The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture program for April 2021. This program is being offered by Dr. Tatiana Sanchez, Commercial Horticulture Agent.
Virtual Stone Fruit Field Day – April 28, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar (with Dr. Ali Sarkhosh, Assistant Professor & Extension Specialist).
This annual Stone Fruit Virtual Field Day teaches about the latest updates on stone fruit research from multiple researchers in the Southeast. Continued Education Units (CEUs) and Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Credits are available (see categories listed below).
There is no registration fee, but participants must
register online. Participants must
download Zoom (teleconferencing platform) and familiarize themselves with the program. The link to the event and passcode will be emailed after the Zoom registration is completed. Participants will not need a microphone or webcam to participate.
The following Continued Education Units and Certified Crop Adviser Credits will be offered:
FDACS CEU's approved for pesticide license renewal (full-day participation required to receive CEUs) - up to three include Ag Row Crop Pest Control (2), 487 General Standards/Core (1), and Private Applicator Pest Control (2).
CCA’s credits (up to 4.5) include Nutrient Management (0.5), Integrated Pest Management (1), Crop Management (2.5), and Professional Development (0.5).
