The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental and Community Horticulture programs for April 2021. These programs are being offered by Dr. Taylor Clem, Environmental and Community Horticulture Agent.
Gardening with Natives – April 6, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.
The Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program’s first principle is “Right Plant, Right Place.” By following the first principle, residents can select many amazing native plants for landscapes and gardens. Participants join Master Gardener volunteers to learn about gardening with Florida’s native plants.
There is no registration fee, but participants must
register online. This program is limited to 500 participants.
Basic Invasive Species in Your Landscape – April 20, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.
Landscapes can easily be overwhelmed with invasive plant material. Participants join Alachua County's Master Gardener Volunteers to learn about the common invasive plant species found within North Florida's landscapes, their methods of control, and alternative plant selections.
There is no registration fee, but participants must
register online. This program is limited to 500 participants.
