Chris Bird Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Chris Bird Lifetime Achievement AwardAlachua County Environmental Protection Department Director Chris Bird has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Local Environmental Resource Agencies (FLERA). He received the award at FLERA’s annual conference in St. Augustine on August 1, 2019. Chris Bird previously served two terms as FLERA President.

In speaking about the award, Bird said “I am honored and humbled to be recognized by my local government professional peers. Over the years, FLERA has been a tremendous source of expertise, leadership, and inspiration that has positively influenced my environmental work for Alachua County.”
