County Landscaping Policies and Strategies Workshop

landscapeAlachua County invites stakeholders interested in landscaping issues to participate in an Alachua County Landscaping Codes Workshop on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Alachua County Senior Center (5701 N.W. 34th Street, Gainesville) to guide this process. 

Alachua County Staff is in the process of reviewing land development regulations and how they influence landscapes and development patterns. The workshop will be discussion-based with opportunities to share opinions and craft new ideas with area landscape and development professionals and agency representatives.

Alachua County Environmental Protection Department Water Resources Program Manager Stacie Greco said, “In light of recent changes to the comprehensive plan, County staff is stepping back and looking at the big picture and long-term goals as to how we want landscapes to function in existing and future development.”
