The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture Program for December 2021. This program is being offered by Dr. Tatiana Sanchez, Commercial Horticulture Agent, at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22712 W. Newberry Road, Newberry).
Green Industries Best Management Practices – December 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Florida law states that all commercial fertilizer applicators must have a certificate from FDACS. To get this certificate, each commercial applicator must be trained in the Green Industries Best Management Practices and receive a certificate of completion for UF/IFAS and FDEP.
Up to four Continuing Education Units will be available in the following categories: General Standard Core, Private Applicator, Ornamental & Turf, Limited Urban Fertilizer, Limited Commercial Maintenance, Limited Lawn and Ornamental, Commercial Lawn and Ornamental.
The workshop registration fee is $25.00 (includes lunch and materials). Participants must
register online by December 14. A late fee of $10.00 will be applied for registrations after that date or if paying at the door. There are no refunds for the registration fee. This class will begin at 8:15 a.m.
