The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Family and Consumer Sciences programs for December 2018. These programs are being offered by Martha B. Maddox, County Extension Agent IV, at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 N.E. 39th Ave., Gainesville).
Creative & Healthy Herbs for the Holidays – December 5, from 10 a.m. to noon
Participants in this workshop will make different items from herbs to decorate their home while also tasting holiday dishes. This workshop includes hands-on activities and lecture combined. Participants will receive a booklet of holiday ideas using herbs in the home for both decorating and in the kitchen.
Participants must register online. The registration fee is $20 and the deadline is November 30. There are no refunds for registration fees.

Holiday Workshop – December 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Participants will make a variety of items that can be used in gift baskets for holiday gifts. They will receive a booklet of holiday gift ideas, instructions, and information on the cost to make each item versus the cost to purchase the gift. This workshop includes hands-on activities and lecture combined.
Participants must register online. The registration fee is $20 and the deadline is November 30. There are no refunds for registration fees.
