Alachua County is advertising a Call-to-Artists for an indoor fire-themed 3-D mural including surplus fire apparatus (hoses, safety equipment, etc.) for Fire Station #40 (14377 N.E. US Hwy. 301, Waldo). Artists must submit 3-5 photos of their existing 3-D mural
online through Monochronicle by Wednesday, October 27, 2021, no later than 2 p.m.
Submittals will be ranked by the Alachua County Arts Council and the top three muralists will be paid $150 to sketch the proposed mural (due within 30 days of notification). The three sketches will be presented to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners for final selection. The art should reflect the mission of Alachua County Fire Rescue "Public Servants dedicated to enhancing and caring for the lives of those in our community through preparedness and an immediate response to any and all of life's emergencies."
The budget for the project is $17,305.
