The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Agriculture & Natural Resources program for January 2023. This program is being offered by Dr. Kevin Korus, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent.
Right-of-Way Pesticide Safety Course – January 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (22712 W. Newberry Road, Newberry)
Class topics include General Standard Core, types of pests, pesticide labels, and herbicide calculations. The course material will be held from 8 a.m. until noon, followed by a lunch break from noon until 1 p.m., and exams starting at 1 p.m.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered in the following categories: two General Standard Core and two Right-of-Way.
The registration fee is $20.00 (includes lunch). Participants must
register online by January 3, 2023. The class is limited to 20 participants. There are no refunds for the registration fee.
