June Commercial Horticulture Program

The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture Program for June 2021. This program is being offered by Dr. Tatiana Sanchez, Commercial Horticulture Agent. 

Private Applicator & Agricultural Row Crops – A Review – June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with Dr. Kevin Korus, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent), at the Freedom Community Center at Veterans Memorial Park (7340 S.W. 41 Place, Gainesville)

This workshop is designed to provide training for the private applicator and the agricultural row crop pest control licenses. The private applicator license is required for anyone that applies restricted use pesticides to their own farm, greenhouse or nursery. A limited number of exams will be offered the day of the class.

Participants should reserve their exam before the class by emailing or calling one of the instructors. Participants should have their voucher number ready when they reserve their exam. Apply for the exam online

Up to four Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered for pesticide license renewal. CEUs include General Standard Core, Ag Row Crop, and Private Applicator. CEU distribution will take place during lunchtime. Lunch will not be provided.

The registration fee is $25.00. Participants must register online by June 21.  A late fee of $10.00 will be applied for registrations after June 21 or if paying at the door. This class is limited to 20 participants. There will be no refunds for the registration fee.
