The Northeast Florida Livestock Agents Group is hosting the UF/IFAS Extension 2019 Livestock and Forage Field Day on July 25, 2019, from 8:15 a.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m.) to 2 p.m., at the Santa Fe River Ranch (29220 N.W. 122nd Street, Alachua).
The field day provides updates on various topics related to hay production along with field demonstrations. Topics include forage economic outlook, nozzle selection and herbicides, soil fertility, haylage, pest management, and a cow calving simulator demonstration.
The registration fee (includes lunch) is $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for children (under 18 years old) by July 18, or $50.00 the day of event and after July 18. Participants must register online (with additional service fees). Those needing assistance with registering can call the Extension Office at 352-955-2402. There are no refunds for the registration fees.
