The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture program for May 2023. Dr. Tatiana Sanchez-Jones, Commercial Horticulture Agent, is offering this program.
Introductory Tractor Driving & Safety Course – May 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the UF/IFAS NFREC–Suwannee Valley Farm (8202 County Road 417, Live Oak) with Dr. Serap Gorudu
This is a hands-on program for beginner drivers. This event will provide a review of safety, hazards, and demonstrations. There will be a tradeshow and ample time for practicing driving and implementing hitching.
The registration fee is $60.00 (plus a $5.87 Eventbrite fee). The registration fee includes refreshments, lunch, a t-shirt, and handouts. Participants must
register online by May 10. The registration fee after May 10 is 75.00 (plus a $6.88 Eventbrite fee). You must be 18 years or older to participate. This course is limited to 40 participants.
