Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center is starting a support group for women and non-binary survivors of sexual violence. The group will meet on Monday afternoons from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. for eight weeks, beginning March 25, 2019, and will continue until May 13. There is no cost, but participants must register in advance.
The group allows survivors of sexual violence to connect and begin exploring ways to heal in a safe and supportive environment.
"Our goal for this support group is to create a space that allows survivors to process their assault, connect with others, and re-discover their voice as they continue to move forward in their healing journey,” says Alachua County Community Education Project Coordinator Cassandra Moore.
