Animal Resources & Care Seeks Thanksgiving Foster Families

Alachua County Animal Resources & Care is seeking foster families for dogs during the Thanksgiving holiday. They need County residents not planning to travel that are willing to pick up a dog on Tuesday, November 23, or Wednesday, November 24, 2021, and foster until Saturday, November 27. Animal Resources & Care will provide all the needed supplies.

While the dog is fostered, Animal Resources & Care encourages fostering families to help find the dog a permanent home. This can be done by promoting the foster dog on social media, in neighborhoods, at work and with friends and family.

"No one should spend Thanksgiving alone, including our shelter animals," said Alachua County Animal Resources & Care Director Ed Williams. "We would love nothing more than to give the gift of a loving home this Thanksgiving holiday to our four-legged friends."

For more information, contact Animal Resources & Care at 352-264-6870 or foster@alachuacounty.us.
