Animal Services Annual Summer Lovin’ Adoption Event

2020 Summer Lovin eventAlachua County Animal Services is hosting their Annual Summer Lovin’ Adoption Event on Friday, August 14, through Sunday, August 16, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cuscowilla (formerly Camp McConnell, 210 S.E. 134th Avenue. Micanopy). In order to ensure public safety, there will be COVID-19 screening, social distancing, and face coverings are required.

“We have a shelter full of animals looking to find their forever families,” said Alachua County Animal Services Shelter Supervisor Jane Grantman. “Grab your face covering and come out to meet our spectacular pets. The Camp is spacious and our dogs will be held in various buildings on the property to make viewing safe and easy. We will also have kittens and cats in a separate quiet building. This is sure to be a rockin’ event.”

Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. All animals available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped before leaving Animal Services.
