Alachua County Animal Services is offering half-priced dog adoption fees Tuesday, May 7 through Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Animal Services Headquarters (3400 N.E. 53rd Ave, Gainesville). The discounted adoption fee is $20 per dog.
According to Shelter Supervisor Jane Grantman, “Every pet adopted opens up a space in the shelter. So, when you adopt, you save two lives – the one you adopt and the one needing shelter.”
To view our adoptable dogs go to myacas.org, petharbor.com or the Alachua County Animal Services’ Facebook page.
Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies shots and pet licenses. All dogs and cats available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped before leaving Animal Services.
