Animal Services Waives Adoption Fees

Alachua County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees now through Thursday, June 10, 2021. Animal Services Headquarters (3400 NE 53rd Ave, Gainesville) is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“Adventures are always more fun with a pet,” said Alachua County Animal Services Supervisor Jane Grantman. “Start your summer adventure off on the right paw with a pet along. Dogs make great hiking partners, camping companions and many are into water sports.  Adopt today and blaze a new trail. New adventures await you and your furry friend.”

Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies and license.  All animals available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped before leaving Animal Services. To view the adoptable animals, visit the Alachua County Animal Services website or petharbor.com.

For more information, contact Jane Grantman at 352-264-6870 ext. 2563 or jgrantman@alachuacounty.us.
