Instructions
  1. The amount of the deed or mortgage determines the documentary stamp fees. Just enter the numbers, the space is already formatted for dollars.
  2. Enter the number of names on the document, this includes all aliases. Indexing requires an additional $1 fee for each name over 4 names. All aliases must also be indexed, so include aliases in the Value box on Row 6. For example, if a mortgage includes a lender with an alias and two mortgagors, one with 2 aliases and one with 1 alias, there will be 7 names to index, for a $3.00 indexing fee.
  3. Put the total number of pages of the deed or mortgage being recorded.
