​Alachua County Public Works is issuing a traffic advisory concerning the temporary, planned closure of County Road 225. This closure is necessary to facilitate the next phase of the ongoing Northwest/Northeast 53rd Avenue project, which Watson Construction is currently executing.

​A County arborist will lead the guided hike that will cover 2 to 3 miles along the preserve’s trail system, traversing mostly easy to moderate terrain. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about local ecology, tree identification, and the significance of the preserve’s conservation history.
