For business that is unable to be completed
online or over the phone, a temporary drive-thru window is available on the
south side of the Family and Civil Courthouse. The window will be open
8:30 am to 4:30 pm, normal work days.
An after-hours drop box is also available next to the drive-thru window for drop-offs.

The Official Records counter is now open to the public, but
on an appointment basis only. To make an appointment please call 352-374-3625.
Documents may also be dropped off for recording with payment
and a self-addressed and stamped envelope at the drive-thru or drop-box next to
the drive-thru window, but immediate recording will not be performed. The
recording will be done within one (1) business day, and the originals returned
in the mail.

We will continue to process marriage
license applications, but they will be done on an appointment basis. To make an

We are accepting appointments for weddings at the courthouse to begin June 1st. The wedding ceremony will take place outside, in front of the courthouse (weather permitting). The number of guests that are permitted to attend is seven (7), and all social distancing and face covering guidelines must be followed. If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will take place inside the courthouse lobby, and the number of guests will be limited to two (2). Please call 352-374-3623 to schedule an appointment.
We have resumed passport services on an appointment basis. You may now call to set an appointment for passport application processing and picture taking. Please call 352-374-3625 to schedule an appointment.
The U.S. State Department has issued an advisory stating the processing of passport applications will be significantly slowed, and for applicants to expect significant delays. Futhermore, the U.S. State Department is not offering expedited services.
